Founded in 1931 by Cardinal Manuel Gonçalves Cerejeira, the Olivais Seminary currently welcomes seminarians from the dioceses of Lisbon, Aveiro, Leiria-Fátima, Santarém and S. Tiago and Mindelo in Cape Verde who are soon preparing for priestly ordination. In academic terms, it corresponds to the six years of the Theology Course at the Catholic University and the Pastoral Year taught at the Seminary.

Support Our Seminarians’ Pilgrimage to Rome!

We are raising funds to support our pilgrimage to Rome! We are seminarians of the Major Seminary of Christ the King in Lisbon, Portugal, and we want to embark on a spiritual journey to Rome for the Jubilee 2025 – Pilgrims in Hope. This is a profound opportunity for usto deepen our faith, experience the ecclesiastical communion of the Church, deepen our knowledge about the rich history of the Church, and strengthen our commitment to serving the Church, Our Mother.

Your generous contribution will help us cover travel expenses, accommodations, and other related costs. By supporting us, you are helping us cover the cost of 700€ (760,06$) per Seminarian (total of 48 seminarians), investing in our future and helping us grow in our vocational path.
