Campaign Story
Criterion Catholic is committed to transforming the way catechesis is delivered through a mystagogical approach, aiming to deepen the faith of parishioners and create a lasting impact within the Church. By piloting this innovative framework at two parishes within the Archdiocese of Kansas City, we are setting the foundation for a new era of spiritual formation that prioritizes the liturgical experience and personal engagement with the faith.
Our program is designed to train Mystagogues, leaders who are not only knowledgeable about the teachings of the Church but are also deeply attuned to the mystagogical process—ushering others into a richer, more profound relationship with the liturgy and sacraments. These leaders undergo a yearlong mentorship program, consisting of catechesis, ongoing spiritual formation, and practical leadership skills to help them guide individuals into deeper participation in the life of the Church.
We believe that mentorship is key to sustaining a culture of faith, and our program equips Mystagogues to mentor future generations of faith leaders. By supporting Criterion Catholic, you’re helping us build a sustainable ministry that will continue to impact the Archdiocese of Kansas City and beyond.
To bring this vision to life, we are seeking to raise $15,000 to offset the costs of a yearlong partnership with these two parishes, which will cover the necessary training, mentorship, and accompaniment for the Mystagogues. This fundraising effort ensures that we can offer this transformative program without imposing a financial burden on local dioceses.
In addition to the mentorship of Mystagogues, we work closely with parish leaders, such as pastors, catechists, and parents, to discern the specific needs of each parish community. This collaborative approach ensures that our program aligns with the broader catechetical structures already in place, making it adaptable and effective for any parish context. Through communication, collaboration, and personalized engagement, Criterion Catholic is ready to pilot this transformative program, setting the stage for broader cultural change in the Church’s approach to faith formation.
